Summary

Resting in Him, choosing peace and putting off responsibilities is sometimes such grand medicine for my soul, that after choosing to rest and to invest in fun and love and ease of life, my strength is renewed and all issues are able to be faced with grace. I know busyness is coming, but I will face it with courage later if I rest today.

Hi everyone, welcome to Add Home with Sally. I'm Sally Clarkson and I have the biggest

0:13.0

privilege in the world to be with so many friends from all over the world who join me every

0:18.6

week to listen to my stories, inspiration, biblical encouragement. And I am just so glad

0:24.6

that you're here today. Thanks so much for joining me.

0:38.3

Hello my friends, how are you? Oh my goodness, I have had so many friends in Texas on my mind

0:47.2

and I know that life has been hard for so many of you. You've lost, lost a week but also

0:53.6

lost the power, some of you have floods in your home. I know Oklahoma, different parts in the

0:58.8

south and I know that difficulties are going on all over the world. And so I'm taking a little

past year. One of the reasons I did for podcasts a week for my wonderful audience for about six

1:20.4

months in COVID is I thought I just want to be an encouragement to them until COVID is over.

1:25.3

Thinking surely it would be over in about six months. But then when I moved to Oxford,

1:29.1

I had to go down to two a month or two a week. And so I do think about you and I have wondered

1:35.7

though, I wonder what next week holds. It does seem like this has been, if we look at the

1:42.4

swirl of history a particular time. Like there have been many other times in history

1:47.2

but of devastation, of difficulty, of out of control. And so I just wanted to tell you a tiny

1:54.1

little story that happened to me in the past couple of weeks because I was thinking, what should

1:58.4

I write about or what should I talk about today because having lived through hospitalizations

2:05.4

and honestly we had a fire in our house and when I lived in Vienna and you know all these

2:11.7

fire trucks came and we were trying to communicate to them in German and I've had two homes where

2:18.4

we had a flood and it ruined our floors and you know that moving 19 times, we've had fires

2:25.9

here in the mountains where people have had to evacuate and one time we had to evacuate
