Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson. It is Sunday evening, I guess Sunday night here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. You guys know I'm out here for a little bit, kind of reconnecting with the wife a little bit, kind of enjoying some downtime. But the show must go on. So she's working tonight, so I've got the house to myself, so I'm working

through this, and we've got a lot of good things to talk about. A wild weekend in the southeastern

conference that is sure to shake up the bowl pecking order. A lot of people are wondering,

Steve, what bowl are we going to? Well, we won't know for sure until next Sunday. But the reality

of it is, is with South Carolina beating Clemson,

that gives them an 8 and 4 record. There are now three 8 and 4 teams in the Southeastern Conference,

Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Ole Miss. Of those three, South Carolina, in my estimation,

is the most attractive. They, in my estimation, is the most attractive.

They, in my estimation, will get the citrus bowl in the event that LSU drops from the New Year 6.

And with LSU's unexpected loss in Texas A&M, that shakes a lot of things up. So that could move everybody down.

Instead of us getting four teams in a New year six or to playoff we could get three

which would have lus u going to the citrus which would bump mississippi state down but as it stands today

it appears that a florida bowl game is still very much a possibility so a lot of people have

messaged and asked about that and tag me and post on facebook i haven't gotten to all, so I'll address it here. So I think it's important to kind of understand how things have shaken out and how the weekend's games impact Mississippi State's bowl standing. Now, we're not going to end up in a Liberty Bowl. That's not going to happen. We were just there last year, but also, too, there are a lot of other teams beneath us in the pecking order. We'll break that down the day. And of course, we'll look at kind of how the weekend was. It was good for us because, you know, we won on Thursday so you can enjoy Friday's games and Saturday's games, kind of knowing we had the hay in the barn, so to speak. And so there may be some outside noise as I'm uh while I'm here I'm also being uh you know kind of Mr.

Housekeeper too you know barn, so to speak. And so there may be some outside noise. While I'm here, I'm also being,

you know, kind of Mr. Housekeeper, too. You know, got the dishwasher going and the clothes washer.

And so if you hear some unusual background noise, that's what it is. But outside of that,

of course, I'm here along and talking to you guys about Mississippi State

sports. Happy to be here, to say the least. But eager for you guys, too, to kind of have an

understanding of where things sit and kind of what we're expecting. But yes, Mississippi State

will get a good bowl destination. They have earned that. And, of course, fifth best record

in a southeastern conference, right?
