journey and the role we can all play to advance its progress. To dive deeper into this today,

we're speaking to Sigrid Linnear, Director of Sustainability and Environment at MetTech Europe.

Sigrid, welcome to the pod. We're so pleased to have you today. Thank you, Stefania. The pleasure is all mine.

Let's dive right in. Let's, you know, just get right to it. What does sustainability mean for you?

You know, your director of sustainability and environment. You know, sustainability for me personally

means future. And the future depends actually on what we do in the present

madman Gandhi put it that way so it's all about a mindset a way of thinking a continuous circle

where we value resources and where this value translates into responsible action for all, the people and the planet.

Grohal in Bruntland, the chair of the World Commission and Environment and Development,

defined it in the following way, meeting the needs of the present without compromising the

ability of future generations to meet their own needs. And in the healthcare sector we talk about one health.

And what do we mean by that?

It means addressing the health challenges and well-being

by recognizing all the interdependencies that exist between people,

plants, animals, and ecosystems.

So embracing sustainability in the industry then is all about innovation leadership,

demonstrating that economic success, environment stewardship, and social equity can well go hand in hand.
