I'm brother Scott Mitchell, and I'm happy you can join us for another message out of God's

Word. Today we're going to talk about a vessel unto honor. I want to first thank all of you

we thank thee for our Savior Jesus Christ. We thank you for mercy and grace that came through

his shed blood. We thank thee for eternal life and forgiveness of sins, and we praise you for the fact that you loved us enough to send

your only begotten son to die for us that we might have eternal life with thee.

We thank thee for the Holy Ghost, and pray that you would teach us now, by the Spirit,

those things according to the truth, and that your word would be magnified, and your name would be glorified.

We ask all this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and for His sake. Amen.

A Vessel unto Honor. We are called by God unto salvation, and we are admonished that we should live soberly,

righteously, and godly in this present world. This is easier said than done, but it would not be a commandment of the Lord if it

were not possible. So how do we possess our vessel in sanctification and honor.

Since Jesus gave us authority over the enemy,

it stands to reason that we have power over our own bodies as well.

Let's examine how we can be a vessel unto honor.

In our focal passage, we are called to be a vessel unto honor to God, and it's found in 2 Timothy 2,

starting in verse 19. Paul writes to Timothy, nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure having this seal. The Lord knoweth them that are his, and let everyone that nameth the name of Christ
