Summary

Most people know the apocryphal tale of Agatha's sister challenging her to write a murder mystery, but years earlier--1912 or thereabouts--her mother is supposed to have challenged her to write as a way of entertaining herself while recovering from influenza. Apparently this lead to an extended bout of neophyte creation that included this rather spiritual yarn, which just may remind you of another classic Christmastime story....

That book was first published by Autumn's press in the UK in October 1933 as part of this like coupon giveaway as part of a magazine

relaunch and then it was published by Collins Crime in February of

1936 as a regular bookstore book. This particular story does not seem to show up in the US

until the 1971 publication of the Golden Ball and other stories. Yes, very intriguing.
