And now, a very special episode of Laugh More with the Skit Guys. Oh my. Here are your hosts, Eddie James and Tommy Woodard. Wow. I'm just filled with anticipation. Do you have like goosebumps? I do, I do. You know what's so funny, you said something there. What's that? Do you know where a very special episode, it's in our lexicon now, right? And sitcoms do it, right? Do you know where it started from? Do you know one of the very first episodes that did special episodes?

2:00.8

That's a great question. I'm going to say it's in the 80s. It is in the 80s. I'm going to say it's in the 80s because like it was kind of like the 70s, they started having pretty decent messages in their sitcoms, but they didn't make a big deal out of it. Right. Then Norman Lear comes, he did so many sitcoms that had messages from the Jeffersons to Mod to, you know, you name it. Mary Tyler Moore? Nope, didn't do Mary Tyler Moore. All in the family. All in the family. And so on and so on, right? Sanford and Son to good times. Yes. Norman Lear. So many. One day at a time, blah, blah, blah. Okay. So, then Norman Lear makes another production company, and I'm going to get the name wrong. Yeah. It's not Vivitard, but it's something like that with another gentleman, and they created sitcoms, but they did not put, he did not. Buyacom. Maybe? I don't know. I'd have to look back. But they started creating sitcoms, but they did not put, he did not, buy, maybe, I don't know. I'd have to look back.

2:19.1

Yeah. But they started creating sitcoms, but they would not, Norman Lear did not use his name.

2:23.6

Wow. And he started very, Norman Lear started very special episodes. Do you know which was the very first one?

2:28.1

Yeah. Which one? I'll give you a hint. Oh, okay. The person, someone transferred from different strokes over to this TV show.
