It is 26. And welcome to another listener mailbag episode. I'm so excited to be

starting off the year this way. That's right. This entire episode will be taken up reading out

and responding to correspondence that all of you have sent me over the last few months.

Actually, there's so much to cover that I was going to do

this mailback episode all at one time, but there's simply too much. It would have been hours and

hours and hours and hours long. And while I think many of you, well, I know many of you enjoy

a three to four hour long episode about a Christie novel or

play or what have you, doing a four hour listener mailbag episode felt like a bit much

even for this podcast. So we're going to break it up into two. Consider this part one today.

I'm so excited. But first, I've got a blanket spoiler warning for you. We will be covering a lot of ground in this episode, which makes

sense since you all responded to lots of All About Agatha episodes over the last few months.

So if you're worried about any Christie titles being spoiled,

mainly in minor ways, but occasionally in major ways, this is definitely not the episode for you.

Also, as a listener pointed out to me recently, so this is really my first bit of listener

mail here, but we can treat it as a preamble. We just recently passed the 50-year mark since the

passing of Agatha Christie herself. That happened on the 12th of January, 1976. It is now 2026,

and that means that we have had 50 years of Christie's legacy, which is just something to sit back

and think about for a moment.

50 years. Who knows what the next 50 years of Christy fandom and scholarship will bring,

but I am happy to be a part of it, and for all of you to be a part of it, including by way
