Danny's holiday movie spinoff podcast, A Very Merry Iconic Podcast, is back for season 7 and Everything Iconic is giving a peak at last week's episode, a recap of the classic Whoopi feature, Sister Act. While not technically a holiday, there are hymnals, so Danny and co-host Jenna Brister decided it would be the perfect comfort film to lead us into the holiday season pre-Thanksgiving!

| 0:00.0 | Hello, everyone and welcome to a very merry iconic podcast. |

| 0:19.3 | I meet Jenna Bristair. |
| 0:20.2 | Hi, Jenna. |
| 0:20.6 | Hey, Danny. How are you? Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas. I Danny. I meet Dani Pillargrino. I'm here. Hi, Jenna. Hey, Danny. |

| 0:21.6 | Merry Christmas. |
| 0:22.3 | Merry Christmas. |
| 0:23.2 | I know. |
| 0:23.6 | I say Merry Christmas. Say happy holidays. The movie that we're covering is not technically a holiday movie. But it is a favorite and we thought there are some loose connections to the holiday season. And obviously Whippy Goldberg has been a million holiday movies, which you probably should have chosen one of those. |
| 0:39.4 | Yeah, that's true. That's so funny. holiday season. Obviously, Whoopi Goldberg has been a million holiday movies, which you probably |
| 0:37.7 | should have chosen one of those. Yeah, true. That's so funny. She's been in a lot. But we chose |
| 0:44.3 | Sister Act, a film that both you and I love. We've seen a million times. And we figured let's see |
| 0:49.0 | what happens because people ask us to cover other alternative holiday movies. I also thought |
| 0:54.0 | what was interesting, |
| 0:55.0 | you recommended, you were like, should we just cover Sister Act? You were watching it? And I was |
| 0:58.6 | like, yeah, absolutely we should cover it. But I was thinking about this time of year is really |
| 1:04.0 | about comfort movies, too. And so even though there's no necessarily holiday in Sister Act, |
| 1:10.8 | I think there is a church connection, which Jesus was born on Christmas. I guess that's the whole point of the holiday, right? Yeah. But more than that, I think, like, I like to sit down to my holiday, I like to sit down with comfort movies. And this time of year, you put on nowadays, we don't really have cable, but I feel like when you're with family, you have to put on these movies that, like, everyone can sort of watch and enjoy. And Sister Act to me is like that family-friendly movie that if I'm sitting with people who are a million years old or three years old, like everyone will sort of enjoy it. And it feels nostalgic, and it feels warm. And so it's not set during the holiday season. |
| 1:44.9 | Well, we don't know that it's not set. |
| 1:47.1 | The second one's set during the fall. |
| 1:49.6 | Yeah, the first one, I mean, they are in winter clothes. |
