Ingram Smith, Bud Elliott back again to do another episode of the No Cast, but exciting time here is we kind of sit and watch a series of events play out that we've never really seen before in recruiting as far as the inaugural early signing period and how that's going to impact Florida State and how that's going to impact the College Football Landscape in general. So kind of as we enter the final big weekend in front of that signing day period.

We'll just do our best to bring everybody up to speed with where Florida State stands, kind of what Florida State's realistic goal should be and maybe a couple kids that Florida State maybe trying to pursue to not take place in this early signing period and see if a delayed decision can't be achieved if you're looking at it from Florida State's perspective. So very excited about what we have on tap.

Absolutely, man. Let's get to these hot recruiting takes for y'all who don't know the early signing period is coming. It's on Wednesday December 20 through the 22nd. That is a really inconvenient time to have to cover recruiting to be honest.

Sure, my wife was absolutely thrilled when the NCAA proved that time and many coaches are probably not loving that either. But yeah, so kids can now officially sign on Wednesday as opposed to waiting until February to do it.

Now there's a lot of pros and cons about why you would want to or not want to do that both for the school and for the kid more cons for the kid more more pros for the school.

I'm not going to cover that really on this show. I on the espionage and recruiting podcast. I talked more about the intricacies of the signing day.

How it all works as well as just on espionation.com you can click on recruiting tab and there's a bunch of stuff on early signing day.

But for for the state here, they're one of 20 schools that change coaches in the offseason and that makes for a very interesting thing here.

To be honest, the schools that that change coaches are not in great shape leading into early signing day. It's just the timing of it stinks.

And it's really going to impact things in future years as well for schools that change coach.

If you change coaches, you are almost certainly behind the eight ball with not a whole lot of time to put together your class.

And that really matters because a lot of these schools think they're going to be signing like 80% of their prospects early.

Now, I don't think that the schools that change coaches are going to sign 80% of their class early.

But they really do want to sign everybody who's committed to them.

And I think that four stays in the East and shot to get a lot of those kids to sign.

But one of the main things is trying to convince some committed kids to maybe hold off.

And just say, look, you may not need to flip to us right now.

But give us a chance down the stretch.

Let us have these final six weeks to you know, crew to you leading up to the traditional signing day date.
