It was 331 days ago that Derk Shoven, now a former Minnesota police officer, put his knee

on the neck of George Floyd for the longest nine minutes and 29 seconds, and he was

never seen. And George Floyd took his last breath on his stomach with his hands cuffed

behind his back beneath Shoven's knee. His death was captured on supplement video,

multiple angles, but the one we saw filmed by 17 year old Darnell Frazier is the one

that rocked most people. Her bravery, her courage, not to ever divert her lens, it sparked

a summer of unrest and caused to abolish or at least defund the police all around the

country.

Remember, as the jury I understand you have a verdict. State him in a subtle plaintiff versus

Derrick Michael Shoven defendant. After a televised trial full of weeks of emotional testimony

in around 11 hours of deliberation, the jury found Derrick Shoven guilty of all three

charges he faced. Second degree murder, third degree murder, and second degree man's

letter.

This was history and anomaly really. It was the first time in Minnesota State history

that a white police officer has been held accountable for killing a black man. And

with the first time that America could legally call Derrick Shoven with many have long known

and believed he's a murderer.

I'm a put up a fight every day because I'm not just fighting for George anymore. I'm fighting

for everybody around this world.

On Tuesday night, there was a collective exhale for many in the city of Minneapolis.
