Summary

With the Utah Jazz getting two days off 16 games into the season it is the perfect chance for a status check on the Utah Jazz. David Locke, radio voice of the Utah Jazz and Jazz NBA Insider takes a look at where the numbers stand and what numbers are real and which ones will regress to the mean. Locke starts looking at the numbers of cleaning the glass and dunks and threes to see if anything on our offensive or defensive portfolio is going to change dramatically. The offensive rebounding rate does seem a bit high. Next is a move to shot distrubution and how the Jazz are fairing in those categories. The Jazz are doing an amazing job of dending the three point line and a being beat up on long 2s right now. The Jazz do allow a lot of shots at the rim. Locke also touches on some league trends such as the offensive explosion and it might be making defense more important than ever.
