and thank you. Universal's next horror experiment was captive wild woman starring the enigmatic

Aquanetta as Paula Dupree, a woman created by a mad scientist after he grafts

glangula material onto a gorilla named Chile.

This turns a normal gorilla into a sultry leggy brunette, complete with bikini, who was able to

control her fellow animals using her mind.

However, unbeknown to the mad scientist played by John Caradine,

Chila the gorilla was in love with her captor, an animal trainer named Fred Mason.

As a gorilla, he had no romantic feelings for her, but as a leggy, sultry brunette and a bikini,

he has no feelings for her.

He's too busy being in love with his fiancée, Evelyn Ankers.

Jealousy, it seems, has an odd effect on Paula the ape woman.

It causes her to transform back into an ape at least a little bit.
