As I'm recording this, I have been 40 years old for nearly one year.

At the end of 2024, my birthday is in January.

And I have noticed a couple of shifts within me this year

that surprised me in a way and in another way they just delight me and allow me to realize that

yes, I really am on my own part and I'm becoming more and more myself. And I started

asking my friends, I was like, did this happen when you turn 40? Do you feel these shifts? And

although everyone's experience is slightly different, I thought, hmm, I'm going to talk about this on

the pod because maybe you're experiencing

something like this too, or you will or you have before. And I think it's quite lovely.

Okay, so part of me started questioning this year, hmm, I don't feel the need to go, go,

be it all the things, meet all the people,

make sure I'm getting it all done, you know, ticking all the boxes, running around a lot,

frankly, it's a lot of running around, meeting, connecting, doing the things. And this year,

I have just not felt compelled to do that at all.

I've noticed this building in recent years, my lack of interest in running around in the same way.

But this year, I feel almost as if my body just won't let me.

It's like, nope, not doing that.

And part of me had this question, like, oh my gosh, am I losing my ambition on any level?

Like, is this like a slowing down?

But then the other day when I was in the kitchen, I was chopping, a bit of a meditation.

You know, if you like to chop vegetables.
