Good afternoon and welcome back to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham. We have some very sad news to report.

We are being told that Prince Philip has died.

The husband of the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the consort, the man who has been by her side all of her life pretty much ever since she became the Queen of this country,

who has been an absolute stalwart of our country's history, of our country's incredible

tradition. Prince Philip, the man who was reaching the age of 100, who was, of course, very ill

just a few weeks ago. He was in hospital for just over a month. He was having operations

done. He was having heart problems. He was having heart problems.

He was obviously not suffering from COVID,

as we did think at one point.

But we are now being told

that Prince Philip has died.

That has been confirmed by Buckingham Palace.

It's a very sad day.

Obviously, we'll be talking

to a whole host of different guests

throughout the course of this show and also throughout the course of the afternoon.
