0:00.0 | Hello and thanks for stopping by for today's Destin for Victory, where we feature the teaching ministry of Pastor Paul Shepard. |
0:09.9 | Well, as I'm sure you know, Pastor Paul had a great desire for reaching as many people as he could through the use of media. |
0:16.1 | It's why he loved radio and why he always wanted the radio ministry of Destin for Victory to continue |
0:21.4 | long after his preaching days were over. During one of our recording sessions, we asked him to talk |
0:26.6 | about why radio was so important, and we thought you'd like to hear what he had to say. |
0:31.0 | Well, I want to tell you that it's important to me as a discipller that my voice has heard and it is used to help people grow in their |
0:41.9 | knowledge of the Lord and in their faith walk with him. Fact of the matter is my voice |
0:48.6 | doesn't sound like most of the other folks you hear on Christian radio. I'm well aware of that |

And I believe he knows what he was getting when he called me into the ministry. And so I'm just trying to make a difference because the gospel |
2:00.9 | really does change lives. And I believe I have a unique calling to help present the gospel |
2:06.9 | from my own perspective. And I pray that that's resonating with listeners. And I pray that that |
2:12.6 | means enough to them that they'll make sure my voice can continue to be heard right along with |
2:18.9 | our other heroes who teach the gospel of Jesus. |
