Hello everybody and I appreciate you guys joining us on another edition of the J-Boy show.

Obviously if you haven't heard the news former Auburn coach Pat Die passed away today.

Obviously all of our condolences are with him and his family and if you guys didn't know out there

my dad played for Coach Die in 1986 and 1987.

I grew up with stories of Coach Die.

My dad used to tell me that he tried to raise me the way Coach Die raised him.

There was always a reference to Coach Die in most of the learning moments from my childhood.

And I'm sure a lot of Auburn fans and really people out there in general's families you know obviously know

who Coach Di is and and I'm sure there are a lot of things that that people that

didn't play for him took away from him and what he meant to Auburn and all the things that he did obviously with

the Auburn Alabama game location and him being able to to put Auburn on even footing with Alabama.

But our next few shows, our next three shows,

maybe more.

I'm gonna talk to former players of Coach Die.

It's gonna be a tribute to him.

Again, whatever we can do to help his memory, you know, live on, especially with the younger generation of Auburn fans that, you know, and again, I'm in that category. I was born in born in 89 you know so I really don't

remember coach dies coaching days I feel like I do because my dad told me

everything about it but I just I would love for for everybody get some

perspective on on who coached I was, what he meant to Auburn,

what he meant to his players, what he meant to the fans.

And just again, it's something where our condolences obviously go out to the Dive family, especially from the Crane family.

And again, we hope you guys enjoy listening some stories about one of the greatest Auburn men in the history of our little spot of land here in the United States.
