On Thursday morning, August 26, a series of explosions and gun fights broke out

near the airport in Kabul where evacuation efforts were taking place.

Over the past few weeks, we've been updating you consistently and constantly while having private

communications from those on the ground, those in Washington, D.C., and around the country,

veterans all across the place and active duty members as well.

Getting information like we got this morning, in real time, seeing the effects as it happened,

getting videos of suicide bombers, getting pictures of the aftermath.

It's something I didn't expect when we started this podcast.

It's not something that I expected to talk about as the withdrawal began,

and the calamity of the day where it saw at least 12 US service members were killed,

and not just the American service members, but the Afghans as well.

I think we would be remiss the mistaken if we didn't mention that hundreds,

150 at current count, Afghans died as well. These people were peace-loving people,

they were innocent. They were trying to get out of Afghanistan and out from under the thumb

of Taliban rule. It's incredibly difficult to process, I would say that it's impossible.

And while we see our country's leaders all across the scope, whether they'd be a Republican

Democrat, independent, libertarian, whatever, there is some sense of finger pointing that's going on.

There was a congressman that I saw who tweeted out Joe Biden equals death to America.

There was congressman who tweeted out this blood is on President Trump's hand. These are the

exact type of statements that has gotten us to this place where we're at politically,
