I am afraid in this area of thanksgiving, particularly as it relates to honoring God in

the area of giving, many of us don't understand. First Chronicles 29, it is one of the most

brilliant articulations of the heart of a grateful

servant of God David blesses God before all the people in verse 10 as they anticipate the coming temple.

He blesses the Lord in 1st Chronicles 29 verse 10.

And he blesses the Lord because he recognizes something that we sing about, we talk about, but I don't think we understand.

He says in verse 12, both riches and honor come from you.

It's in your hand to make great and to make strong.

He asked the question in verse 14, who am I and who are my people,

that we should be able to offer something as generous as this.

For all things come from thee.

And from thy hand have we given back to you?

He says in verse 15, we are tenants.
