AM with a really interesting look at just what we're facing here,

a tale of two presidents, one current, one former, two parties going through the best of times

and the worst of times, and today will be more of the stain.

Former President Donald Trump, having survived a weekend assassination attempt

that left two people dead, including the shooter, is prepared to accept his party's presidential

nomination tonight. It is the most unified Republican Party I've probably seen in my entire time

covering politics and Democrats in pretty much complete disarray.

You couldn't see a kind of bigger split screen in terms of where Republicans are, all kind of

together in Milwaukee versus where Democrats are with President Joe Biden getting COVID and so many lawmakers, you know, trying to pressure him to get out of the race.

It's a pretty stark contrast.

It's amazing to me, Anna.

Let's start with Trump just very quickly because we're here in Milwaukee.

January 6th and his efforts to overturn the election are
