So you were smuggled in to Yemen.

My grandmother used to tell me that she was rolled up in the carpet

in the back of a truck when she was taken out of Syria.

Is that kind of the way it worked for you or not really?

Well, I was kind of rolled up in a local Yemeni dress.

I was able to legally enter southern Yemen, and then I was essentially smuggled to the north.

So I was put in a car and we just drove the road up there, but I had to be disguised as a Yemeni woman,

so full face failed, so that they wouldn't know that a Western

journalist was making it into the rebel-held areas.

Now, I mean, I know that you've done this before for part of your living, right?

I mean, Mosul, front lines, war against ISIS, but you don't look like a Yemeni woman.

Are you a little petrified every time you do something like this?
