Three weeks have passed since we last took to the airwaves and it's fair to say it's been a long time in politics and kind of everything's different but somehow

what's the line from um i'm sure it doesn't originate from the matrix but um some things change

some things remain the same well it could be there's there's got be a song in there somewhere

it'll come to me in a moment of musical musical wisdom so yes, yeah, it's been quite a boring couple of weeks really. That's why we didn't

do a podcast. To be fair, we've both been away. You've been off frolicing and enjoying the

love of the Liberal Party conference in Bournemouth. I did. I went to Sunny Bournemouth.

You did. And I went to surprisingly sunny Wolverhampton

to play in the blind cricket T20 finals,

array for the Sussex Sharks. There's another winner's medal on my desk,

which my wife, your sister, said,

well, it's lovely. Go and stick it with the other 20 that are there.

So it wasn't quite the rousing heroes welcome I had hoped for,

but sometimes you just got a roll with that.

What were you expecting?

Like an archway of people with, you know...
