0:31.3	deep red. I really do love autumn and Halloween is nearly upon us. With that in mind, I've read
0:40.8	out this beautiful story tonight. It's called a tale for Halloween. It's not scary at all,
0:48.9	but it's a lovely fairy tale about a brother and sister who are visiting their villages
0:56.4	Halloween party. But on the way, as they go through their vegetable patch, they meet a
1:02.8	talking pumpkin and an adventure happens. I really enjoyed reading the story out tonight

1:27.1	let's begin. A tale for Halloween. But that and Anton were the children of a very poor
1:37.0	woodcutter. They lived in a little cottage on the side of a steam mountain and the mountain
1:45.1	looked upon a great forest. Now though their father toiled in this forest from dawn
1:54.2	until dark, he could earn but little. Wood in that region was plentiful and woodcutters
2:04.5	were numerous. Their mother made fine laces which Anton carried to the market to sell. But
2:13.9	in spite of all their efforts, the poor parents sold them could give their children more
2:21.8	than bread and broth to eat. Often indeed the broth was lacking if the woodcutter found
2:31.4	no hair in the traps he set. A bet and Anton however were happy little children and never
2:41.2	thought of their poverty. But it worried the woodcutter that Anton was ten years old
2:49.6	and had not gone to school. Anton's mother taught him to read and write that the other boys
2:58.2	and girls would not be too far beyond him and Anton studied his lessons diligently. Often
