Many state elections are projected to have a huge impact on Washington this midterm season, especially those taking place in competitive swing districts. In New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District, Rep. Tom Malinowski has had to fight hard to keep his seat, winning by fewer than two points in 2020 after initially flipping the seat from red to blue in 2018. Republican Congressional candidate Tom Kean will be facing off against Rep. Malinowski this Midterm election in a race many will be watching closely.
