Acts chapter 8, verses 26 and 27.

Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, rise and go toward the south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.

This is a desert place, and he rose and went.

And there was an Ethiopian.

Now, I could keep reading on the story.

If you don't know this story, Philip encounters this Ethiopian eunuch,

who is returning from Jerusalem, seated in his chariot,

reading the prophet Isaiah. And the spirit says to Philip, go over and join this chariot. So Philip

runs to him, hears him reading about Isaiah the prophet and says, do you understand what you're reading?

And the guy's like, no, I like somebody to guide me.

And Philip explains to him, basically the gospel tells him the good news about Jesus.

And then comes to some water.

And the eunuch says, well, here's water.

I want to be baptized.

And so they stop the chariot. He goes down into the water, Philip and the eunuch says, well, here's water. I want to be baptized. And so they stopped the chariot.

He goes down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and Philip baptizes him.
