It's almost Christmas, and so today we're excited to share a special episode of the Crossplay podcast, aimed specifically at children and families.

In today's episode, we have content adapted from The Biggest Story podcast, a show we created to help kids see the Bible's big story of redemption,

and ultimately come to meet the person the Bible is all about Jesus.

In celebration of Christmas, today we have two stories from that podcast that tell the story of Christ's birth and highlight the miracle of the incarnation.

Chapter 53, A new baby and a new beginning.

Matthew 1.

The beginning of the Bible began with, well, a beginning. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

That's the first verse in Genesis, the first book of the Bible. The New Testament begins with

another beginning, the book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ. That's the first verse in Matthew, the first book in the New Testament.

Genealogy is a big word that has to do with tracing your family tree.
