Hello, I’m blue skies, and this is a very special bonus episode of bluemind ASMR. The deal is, if you are listening to this, I’ve just launched my Patreon, a website that content creators can use to connect with supporters who want to pay for special rewards.

As some of you may already know, I’m a nonbinary ASMRtist living in North America. I discovered internet ASMR content pretty recently, I would say sometime around October 2017, but my first experience with ASMR happened while visiting the dentist and the hair salon when I was very young. I used to love the physical sensation of comfort and relaxation brought on by the personal attention from the doctor/hair dresser, but I didn’t understand until recently that these sensations can be recreated by listening to certain sounds, and watching role-play videos. 

As someone who struggles with gender dysphoria, anxiety, depression, and other health issues, ASMR has been a hugely helpful part of my life of late. But a few months ago, I decided that I don’t just want to consume ASMR; I want to create it too. But videos aren’t really my platform, so I decided to start my podcast: bluemind ASMR.

So I’ve said this before, that I won’t run ads on my podcast, I’m really personally against getting sponsors and running ads. I would much rather have listeners like you supporting me, as opposed to a bunch of random companies. That’s so impersonal. My podcast is warm and cozy, and I want to keep it that way.

So, you’re probably wondering, what are the rewards? Well, for $1 a month, you’ll get access to episodes 1 week before they go public. You’ll be charged a dollar s soon as you become a patron, and then from then on you’ll be charged every 1st of the month. There may be other reward tiers added in the future, and eventually I’d like to be able to give you access to episodes 4 or even 5 weeks before they go public. And I’m open to suggestions as to what rewards you’d like me to add.

So if you decide to become a patron, your support will help out my bank account; every dollar counts, as they say; and your support will eventually let me invest in newer and better equipment that I can use to experiment with all kinds of fresh, tingly sounds. But seriously if you are strapped for cash, don’t worry about it. I have a roof over my head and food to eat, I’m doing fine. I’m most excited about forming a community thru Patreon. But even if you can’t become a patron, you can join my subreddit or my discord. I’ll include all the links in the show notes.
