I'm a Hoover Distinguished Policy Fellow, and I'll be doing the moderating today.

This is a show featuring three of the wisest gentleman I know. Hoover's good fellows as we

jokingly refer to them. That includes the historian Neil Ferguson, the economist John Cochran,

and the geostr strategist, Lieutenant General A.R. McMaster, they are Hoover Institution Senior

Fellows all. And this week we're joined by yet another Hoover Senior Fellow

Michael McFall. Mike McFall is a professor of political science and director and senior fellow

at Stanford Freeman Spoli Institute for International Studies. For January 2012 to February 2014,

he served as the U.S. Ambassador to the Russian Federation. That was after three years at the

National Security Council, H., HR McMaster's old

stomping grounds, serving as senior director for Russian and foreign affairs.

Ambassador McFaul, welcome to Goodfellow's. Thanks for having me. Okay, Mike, I want you to

settle a debate that we have. So John, H.R. and Neil are convinced that you, like Vladimir Putin,

bathe in the blood of dear unil or blood. True or not? Say that again? I missed the first part.

Vladimir Putin reportedly bades in the blood of deer antlers.

Supposedly it's a longevity treatment or something like that.

So true or false, you do the same.

Well, I definitely don't do the same, but I've never heard that about Mr. Putin, but it wouldn't

surprise me.

So I raise that for this point, Mike, because there's all sorts of stuff going around the internet about Vladimir Putin these days.
