Carter Pasma is a potter and educator currently working as the studio manager at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. Carter earned his BFA in ceramics from the University of Wisconsin–Stout, and his MFA in ceramics from Utah State University. Carters's work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally, in 2022 he was recognized as one of Ceramics Monthly's Emerging Artists of the Year. Carter's ceramics practice and educational insights have been featured in multiple issues of Ceramics Monthly and Pottery Making Illustrated, where he was recently highlighted on the cover.

he was a potter, he was an educator, and probably more significantly, he was a mentor. And his

influence was definitely one that reached quite far.

And after doing the podcast for all these years we've been doing it,

it is incredible how many people have pointed to John Neely

as that significant person in their lives.

And so that generosity of sharing and shaping, literally

generations of makers, is really far-reaching. Well, this week, we have two guests coming on to

I'm not saying these guys came on and we specifically spent the whole time talking about how

great John Neely is. We already know that John was a phenomenal person. These are their voices and their stories and their journey.
