This event took place on a local hiking trail that I wasn't too fond of.

I won't name the trail itself for privacy reasons, but I will say that it's here in Southern Cali.

I went with two friends, and for the sake of their privacy too, their names for this story

will be Jazlaine and Vivian. So this trail is a 40-minute drive away from our hometown,

and this was unplanned like most of our hikes were in destinations too. We arrived approximately at

6pm, and we're all aware that the time that we finished up the trail was going to be dark.

But we start walking, and we've been walking for about 20 minutes, and this guy with a pretty

large stick passes by and tells us to be very careful because of the snakes being present.

Just by the look on his face, it looked like he was pretty petrified too.

Now I normally run into rattlesnakes on hikes, and yes they tend to look a bit scary,
