and that he can make doggie duty a special chore for millions of pet lovers,

enter two new companies, Wag and Rover, the Uber and Lyft of Canine Care.

The rival companies employ contract dog walkers,

the same way rideshare companies hire independent drivers.

Both Wag and Rover have attracted investment in recent months. In May, Rover took in $125 million in new investment.

CEO Aaron Easterly says he'll use that money to expand into Europe, starting with the UK, this month.

At only three years old, Wag is the younger of these two doggie rivals, though still a pup.
