How about tithing? Let's say a Christian wants to tie through church and the husband's like,

nope, not doing that. And then so the question was, I don't want to be God to be mad at me.

Right, yeah, that was the way she said. I don't want God to be mad at me. I want to tie

that my husband says no. Then don't tithe. I'm saying go to church, even though your husband says no,

but he says, let's not tie that don't tithe. Here's the reason why I would separate those very

differently. First off, tithing is not required. If you, by tithing, you mean giving 10% to your

local fellowship, like that is a fine rule to follow if you want. And we've always done that.

But that is not required. There's no new testament teaching that's required. How do pastors

that are so good at verse by verse teaching get weird on tithing? I don't understand.

Are we told however to give and support those who minister to us spiritually? Yes. Is there an

amount associated with that? No, because in the body of Christ, people in different situations

with different amounts of money and all that. So you give how cheerfully? You give according to

what you have decided in your own heart. 10% isn't that unless you've decided that. No one can

dump it on you. So the New Testament text doesn't say that. Tithing was for Israel and they gave to

the Levi to the temple. If you really want to tie, you should give to Israel. Giving is something

that we should do, right? I want to help the poor among us. I want to pay for the people who minister

to me and I also wanted to take her to the building. I'm absorbing the AC and I'm drinking the

liquids, the coffee or whatever they have available for me there. I'm bringing my kids to be taken

care of during the service. So obviously, you're just rude if you're not going to help pitch in.

But if you're poor, by all means, it's the church's blessed that you can come here and not worry

about any of that. So none of those are rules. But why I say you shouldn't, even given all that,

those are good reasons to give. It's his money too, right? It's both of your money. It's yours
