Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Current Yield.

I am Jim Grant, and I am all alone today, well, except for Eric Whitehead, who's just to my left,

he is at the control panel.

And we're doing something a little different today.

We are going to play for you the remarks that the Mark Cohodas, the famed short-seller delivered at the Grants Conference

a couple of years ago. This was the Fall Grants Conference of October 20th or thereabouts

2017. And Mark's topic was a company called MyMedics, pharmaceutical business based in Atlanta

that is and was an integrated

developer, processor, and marketer of regenerative biomaterial products and bioimplants for

human placental tissue, skin and bone, yeah. Well, speaking of skin and bone, Mark scoured

my medics for reasons that became apparent over the next couple of years.

In fact, up to this point, the scandal was just as Mark said.

The scandal flowered and CEO was no longer the CEO and all sorts of stuff happened.

Stock got more than sawed in half.

But I want you to hear this because it occurred to some of us around

here that this was a short seller in action. Terrific analysis and courageous in his refusal to back

down from all manner of charges thrown up into his face for having a temerity to challenge this

company and its executive suite.
