| 0:00.0 | Hey friends, welcome back. It's time for the morning mindset. My name is Carrie Green. |
| 0:07.4 | Welcome. I'm glad that you're here. We're going to be looking into the scriptures today |
| 0:11.0 | with hopes of seeing some truth that will help us walk |
| 0:15.7 | through this day in a way that brings honor and glory to God and equips us to be a |
| 0:21.7 | benefit and blessing to the people that we come in contact with. |
| 0:25.9 | That really is what the Christian life is all about. |
| 0:29.2 | And we've begun just yesterday a new study in the book of Galatians and we started with chapter 1 |
| 0:35.2 | verse 1 we're going to be continuing in verse 1 right now today because we didn't |
| 0:39.8 | get very far yesterday there's a lot of background to cover. We did that yesterday. We're |
| 0:44.0 | going to dig in today to the meat of this verse. Paul starts his writing by saying |
| 0:49.6 | Paul an apostle sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised |
| 0:56.4 | him from the dead. |
| 0:59.0 | And all the brothers and sisters with me to the churches in Galatia. Now as I mentioned yesterday their |
| 1:05.2 | practice of letter writing such as this started out with an identification of |
| 1:10.6 | who was sending the letter and in this this case, it's Paul, the apostle, |
| 1:14.2 | and these brothers and sisters in Christ who were with him. |
| 1:17.4 | And he was writing to the churches |
| 1:19.6 | that existed in a region called Galatia. And so he identifies himself first of all as an apostle which we talked |
| 1:26.6 | about yesterday. But then he says some very interesting things to kind of legitimize who he is and to point out the authority that he's been given from which to speak. |
| 1:36.7 | And he says, I was sent not from men nor by a man. |
| 1:41.6 | Now think about that. In a political realm, an ambassador, for example, might be |
| 1:47.3 | sent by the president or the prime minister of a country or king to represent that country. He's sent by a man or a woman, a queen perhaps. |
