The way it was described by my upstairs neighbor,

because we lived right on the beach,

my upstairs neighbor said this bolt of lightning

just came down and slammed into the beach right about the burn and she said from

there it's like the lightning she said it just

blattered just shut out and all these little rays that fired off from it and the only

thing I can imagine is that I was in the pathway of one of those

rays and my daughter was somewhere in between.

On July 17, 2014, a sudden bolt of lightning struck the beach at Venice, California.

A 20-year-old man named Nick Fagnano was killed.
