| 0:48.0 | the things are firing on all pistons, sort of speak. I want to talk to you this week about a mindset that we have, whether we really realize it or not, we have a particular mindset about our relationship with the Lord, our relationship to all things, Kingdom of God, |
| 1:07.0 | and how I think that there might be a chance that our mindset is keeping us from really doing what the Lord has called us to do. |

| 1:39.0 | Well, at the time of this episode, we are getting ready to go into summer. It's spring right now in 2021, and I know that people are really looking forward to this summer, as they have gone through, most of us have gone through a really rough 2020 with a pandemic, |
| 1:57.0 | but I think people are looking forward to going outside, more freedom, more relationships and things to do, and I think it's going to be a great time. |
| 2:07.0 | And I do think that after a year in COVID and everybody being locked up, a lot has changed in people's lives, not only in their relationships, some of them not so good, but their habits as well, whether it's binge watching over the winter or self-medicating, getting themselves into trouble. |
| 2:26.0 | In the spring time, we oftentimes talk about spring cleaning, but I think there might need to be some spring cleaning in our relationship with the Lord as well. |

| 2:57.0 | Well, I want to talk to you now about a shift in our thinking as it relates to our relationship with the Lord. |
| 3:05.0 | And to do that, I want to start by going back a number of years when I first really, really got excited about following Jesus when I was, I was only 18 years old, I was in college, and I had this born again experience, I had this, this new relationship with the Lord via my girlfriend, Emily, who's now my, my wife, and I got to tell you my whole life changed at that point. |
| 3:32.0 | And I went out and bought a Bible, I started to go to meetings and prayer meetings and teachings and tent meetings and all kinds of things. |
| 3:43.0 | And I wanted to meet with people who knew about Jesus, and we would sit at the college, and we would talk about Jesus, all the Christians would gather at a certain place. |
| 3:53.0 | You could always walk by this place called the pit where everybody would gather, and you could bring your Bible sit down, and there was always someone to talk to about Jesus. |
| 4:04.0 | And those early years were really spent getting to know more about the Lord, you know, and learning and knowing the Bible. |
| 4:13.0 | And I had this, this sense of my relationship with Jesus was really one of following him, and you know when I teach on discipleship, I make a big deal out of this when I talk about Jesus saying, |
