What her family lacked in material things they more than made up for with love.

Gail who loved having a big family knew that one day she wanted to be married with children of her own.

She was a happy and cheerful child with a hard work ethic and a drive to succeed.

As a teenager, she got a job as a waitress to provide the extra things that she wanted for herself and her siblings.

At 18 years old, she met a man by the name of Lars who swept her off her feet and the two soon moved in together.

After putting in a long day of work, Gail would help Lars build their home together.

But Lars was far from perfect and he didn't have the qualities that Gail had always dreamed about in a husband.

He could be quite scary and abusive.

After a year together, 19 year old Gail met 25 year old contractor Rick Brink and it was love at first sight.

She was instantly captivated by Rick and he felt the same way.

After they first met Rick went home and told his mother he met this woman he intended to marry and he told her that Gail was a green-eyed brown-haired beauty who radiated sunshine.
