I started the beginning, so I was born into a middle-class family in Philadelphia.

This was my mom, my dad. When I was four, we moved into this drab gray house.

To get closer to my father's job, my parents had just become Christians and he

wanted to spend more time with me. They wanted to have a big family and he

wanted to reduce his commute his driving time. Well, we didn't know when we moved

into this house in the dead of winter, this energy efficient house, was that it

had a carbon monoxide gas leak. This was before they had invented the

detector that we can know by a blisterpacks at Home Depot. So we didn't know

this. It was the dead of winter. My mom is fixing up the house. My dad and I

were at school, he was at work, we were just sleeping in the house and all of us

start to get a little sick. And on New Year's day, my mom passes out unconscious

on my parents bedroom floor. And after a series of blood tests, they identified the

culprit, this mass amount of carboxy, human globin, carbon monoxide in her blood

stream. And my mom didn't die, thankfully, but her immune system died and she was

never the same again. From that moment, she became allergic to the world. It's the

best way of describing it. Anything chemical, anything toxic made her sick from this

point on, things that would just be normal for us, perfume or I don't know, the soap

we might put on our hands or lotion or carfumes. All of these things made my mom
