she's proposing to start taking EU rights away from citizens living in this country in terms of residency. Now at the moment we've got no idea what rights she is proposing to take away.

All we knew until now, because this is all back of the envelope stuff to appease the hard Brexiters

and her own party, all we knew until now is there was going to be some kind of registration scheme.

And even that was going to be the subject of course of very difficult negotiations the European Commission, because their understanding was that for the interim or implementation phase, EU citizens' rights would be unaffected.

So literally, by the day, the prospect of Brexit becomes more alarming, and the catastrophe and confusion of policy becomes greater. Now, I've, I'm literally

fresh from two days in the House of Lords. I barely left the Chamber of the House of Lords

are the best part of two, four days. And I can tell you that the campaign for a referendum on Mrs May's

Brexit terms is increasing. I didn't put it to a vote last night because, to be frank, I wouldn't

have had a majority. But I reckon I had about half of the Labour peers, all of the Lib Dems, a few Conservatives

and quite a number of cross-bentures. So I think even in the House of Lords we're heading

to a majority. And in due course, I think that the big issue of controversy in British politics,

I reckon by this summer, will be whether or not we have a referendum

on the withdrawal agreement that the Prime Minister submits at the end of the year. I think that
