I'm so excited about today's show.

We had such a good time recording today's show.

This is the exercise, game, however you want to refer to it, that we're going to try it out for you guys today.

We're calling this a seat at the table.

And we wanted to do this because we wanted something that we could just have be a through line throughout the entire year that we could revisit. In the past, I've done a show most seasons where we'll talk about which teams can win the Super Bowl. It's typically a list that's longer than you think and there's really no stakes to it. You can throw as many teams on there as you want because you can build a case so we wanted to do something sort of similar today but make it tougher so what me derrick and dave decided to do is we're calling this a

seat at the table and we picked 10 teams that we decided on august 12th have the best chance to win the Super Bowl.

Who deserves a seat at the table of the real contenders as we get to the eve of the season?

What we're going to do with this is that all year, this is going to change.

If there's a team that we feel like has risen and deserves to be in the conversation, it could happen at any point. Let's say it's two weeks into the season. One of the teams we had on, we realized that we've made a horrible mistake and another team has surprised us. We're going to revisit this discussion. We're going to flip around the tent. So it's going to be something that is always available. It's always something that we can pull out. It always something that we can talk about. We just thought it would be a fun wrinkle to add this year as we move into a new version of the athletic football show with the three of us. There's not to be a fun exercise, a fun thing to include. And boy, did we have fun making the initial version of this list. There were a few teams that were easy. There were just consensus teams. There were a couple teams that really one team that I just vehemently argued against and I can't believe I ended up on this list considering some of the teams that we left off. That's why 10 was a good number because there are going to be a couple teams that we had to leave off here that none of us feel good about. So I really enjoyed this. I hope you guys do as well.
