Hello, welcome along to the Fun Kids Science Weekly. My name's Dan. Thanks for listening. This week,

it's an ecology special. We're being supported by the British Ecological Society to learn all about

what ecology is and how it helps us and how it affects what we do and the world that we live in every day.

We'll chat to a proper ecological expert

in just a sec, who will explain it all, he'll go through the whole thing for us. Basically,

ecology is looking at how living things affect each other, whether human, animal or plant life,

they all affect the balance of the ecosystem around us. It's also about the weather,

changes to the planet, pollution, and even pandemics, and about how all of those affect the

world too. It's about finding out how living things and the environment work together.

Now, one of the most important ecological issues right now is to do with climate change.

So let's start off there.
