Summary

This Wednesday episode begins with Andy and Brendan lamenting all the off-course rumors and maneuvering dominating the conversation yet again at what is the best week on the PGA Tour schedule. They discuss Will Bardwell’s piece on sportswashing, Kramer Hickock blurting out some specifics, or alleged specifics, of Saudi signees and schedule, and the notion that the players also want more of the major championship pies. The two also seem to come to an unfortunate conclusion that we’re headed for a successful Saudi enterprise that will get stronger over the years. Then it’s on to the schedule for the week, where Riviera and the actual golf get its due. They cover some featured groups, some featured holes, and convey their excitement for the week ahead. News closes with a rant on the preposterous context-free coverage of Bryson’s statement denouncing “false rumors” about his playing schedule.

Yeah, it sucks, man. I think that sucks, quite honestly. Like, I don't want to talk about this shit again. It seems like stuff's popping off yet again. I was texting with friend of the program, trying Carter.

It really feels like this is exactly what it was like in 2020, right? Like this one, this before the intervening pandemic sort of put a halt, and I guess it might have been the PGL then with Saudi influences then.

1:22.0

Kind of the PGL seems just so appetizing now, comparatively.

1:27.0

Yeah, and there was a big meeting and some Brentwood home or whatever Hollywood home.

I thought I saw, I don't know, someone just tweet that I think it was the any rap reports at the top 10 players.

1:50.0

So there's no way they're going to have it ready in June. So maybe some people don't think it's close either way.

Kramer hit Cox involved giving out like, you know, breaking news. Maybe I don't know, saying 17 guys have signed.

2:03.0

2:20.0

That includes the players.

2:24.0

That includes the players.

2:26.0

Hey, I'm excited for the players this year. Look, I don't need commercials yet, but I think I don't know.

2:33.0

Well, I mean, I'm sure I'll be sick of their marketing bullshit by the time the first T ball goes off on Thursday, but I'm kind of excited for it anyways.
