Summary

On this Friday Buckeye Talk, Doug Lesmerises, Nathan Baird and Stephen Means are back to do one of their favorite things on this podcast -- drafting teams against each other. For this exercise, they each drafted an 11-player offense made up of Buckeyes from the last four season -- Ryan Day's four years as head coach. But there was one twist -- each of them had to draft one player from the Urban Meyer era and one player from the Jim Tressel era. That added an extra level of strategy -- and made sure each team got a good quarterback. So listen to this 11-round draft to find out which 27 Day players, which three Meyer players and which three Tressel players made the cut. Thanks as always for listening to Buckeye Talk. And expect a defensive version of this draft next week. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

11 players, quarterback running back, tight end, three receivers, two tackles, two guards in the center.

You can do two tight ends and two receivers if you want to.

But the wrinkle is that everybody is allowed to draft, actually has to draft one urban Meyer player and one Jim

1:12.7

Tressel player in this 11 man team.

1:15.8

So everybody's team will wind up as nine day era players with one Meyer and one Tressel.

1:23.0

And the reason we are doing that is because some of these positions don't actually have enough starters across the board.

1:29.2

In the Ryan Day era to like fill out everything, but there's going to be some great strategy here between need.

1:35.4

And trying to grab excellent players at certain spots and Nathan, I personally have a list.

1:43.4

I have groups. I don't have a strategy because I think maybe more than any other draft we've ever done.

1:49.3

This really depends on what everybody else does and how it affects you because those bonus picks,

1:55.4

required bonus picks and the Meyer and Tressel era.

1:58.9

The way they are used will have a great effect on everybody else's team at multiple positions, I think.

2:04.9

Yeah, exactly like I have rankings at each position.

2:08.2

I have an overall ranking. I think those probably almost conflict with each other at some point.

2:13.2

And the whole thing gets thrown off in certain categories depending on whether one of you takes
