As an entertainer, trying to like understand how a reality TV star was leading the ticket,

I understood it from a Hollywood point of view, but I could not reconcile it with what I knew about

conservatives and what they hold to be this high moral ground.

It was like a true breaking point for me.

It was like leaving the church.

It was a huge thing, not just in my family, although it was, but like in my heart.

I mean, it was sort of like leaving your roots, you know, saying like I don't believe something anymore

is one of the hardest things you'll ever say in your life.
