Summary

What does it really mean to have a rightly ordered home? In this episode, I’m diving into a topic that’s been heavy on my heart: how we as Christian women can faithfully order our homes according to God’s design while recognizing that every family looks a little different.

I share some of my own story of working from home, balancing homeschooling, business, and motherhood, and what it’s looked like for Jason and me to wrestle through these questions together. We’ll talk about biblical principles for family life, the beauty of unique family cultures, and the importance of being faithful in the exact season God has given us.

If you’ve ever wrestled with questions about priorities, work, comparison, or what “ordering your home” should practically look like, this episode is for you.

0:26.4

So hopefully I can cover this without spending seven hours. But I definitely think there might

0:32.2

be some future episodes where we want to kind of address some of these topics. So if you

0:36.8

have questions, if things come up,

0:38.8

uh, or I wasn't clear on certain things, like shoot me a DM. We can talk about it and it'd be fun

0:45.1

probably to do some future episodes on this. So what we're going to be talking about today is what I

0:51.9

have titled a rightly ordered home. And again, this is a gigantic topic.

0:57.3

So what? So let's go back to the beginning. This has been something that has been on my heart a lot,

1:05.3

especially because I feel like it keeps kind of coming up in various degrees. So my friend Heather is starting a new.

1:13.7

Okay. Now let me look up what her. Let me hold on. Sorry, sorry, sorry. It just went out of my brain.

1:23.5

There it is. Keeping the Citadel. Okay, so my friend Heather is starting a new magazine called

1:27.5

Keeping the Citadel. You can look her up on Instagram. The new first issue is coming out,

1:33.2

I think, in the fall. So Heather asked me to write a article for this magazine on working from home.

1:40.6

And what does that mean to balance the fact that I do work with the fact that home and the

1:46.0

kids and homeschooling is my highest priority? That is the bulk of my time. How do you keep a rightly

1:53.1

ordered home when you are also have something like work that you're pouring into? And where's

1:58.7

kind of the lines on that where it does work for your family or it doesn't

2:03.3

work? So I had a lot of fun writing this article. It's going to come out in her first issue. It's definitely
