All right, I'm just going to, I'm just going to do a quick introduction here.

There is no, these are the two guys that have, I've done the most episodes with ever on my show.

And they've never gotten together before.

So, um, just jump right in because we're going to talk, we're talking about Hegel and the conversation already started.

So go, no, I was i was no a lot of people even people were very learned in continental philosophy

mind hegel to be a real ordeal i mean i i'm a political theory guy so i started reading Hegel because that's how he came to continental philosophy in the first place.

You know, and before that, when I was reading stuff like Hobbs and Carl Marx and, you know, Hume and things of that nature.

So I didn't have an easy time of it because anybody who says,

such a thing as a liar,

but it was less,

it was more within my,

I think sort of the purview of my research concentrations than it would be for

some people.

I mean,

when you're basically an analytic,

uh,

if you're basically a guy who spends

the time with analytic philosophy and stuff, and you pick up Hegel, it's going to seem,

it's going to seem like esoteric nonsense. At least that was, when I was an undergrad at Loyola

University 30 years ago, that was the impression I got from philosophy majors, you know.

Well, I became a theory guy as well as a comparative guy, but I became a theory guy as an

undergraduate because of a homosexual Marxist communist named Victor Delugan.
