capital. Time to gather around the roundtable to look back at the news of the week with three of our top

political reporters. There's been a lot of news this week on several fronts.

At the White House, President Biden welcomed President Macron of France

for his first official state visit and state dinner.

In Congress, Democrats and Republicans joined in passing two major pieces of legislation,

blocking a railroad strike and endorsing same-sex marriage. And Democrats elected a new leadership team in the House, while

Kevin McCarthy is still trying to round up 218 votes with the clock ticking. At Mar-a-Lago,

Donald Trump, under fire from fellow Republicans for his dinner with a white

supremacist and a Holocaust denier, lost another round in court, and saw his tax returns turned

over to House Democrats, and in Georgia, record numbers of early voters turned out to decide whether Ralphia Warnock or

Herschel Walker will take home the big Senate trophy on December 6 next week.
