Now, despite Donald Trump's repeated campaign promises to end America's involvement in forever wars, it appears that his war with Iran is becoming exactly the kind of conflict he vowed over and over again to end and never involve the United

States in ever again. The United States and Iran are closer than they have ever been to escalating

the war to its highest level since the conflict began six months ago. That's after three service members

were killed in the last week. That brings the total number of U.S. service members killed in the war to 17.

The service members killed have been identified. They are first lieutenant Tyler James Fioran and private Isabella Gonzalez.

The third person has yet to be identified. Earlier today, the U.S. carried out a new round of bombing in response to the attacks.

Oil prices are climbing as fears of a wider war once again begin to grow. And as a war drags on and

Donald Trump's casualty count grows, Americans are making it clear that they are fed up with

the war in Iran. As the economist reports in a peace

titled, the Iran War is America's least popular since polls began, quote, net approval for Trump's

decision to attack Iran now stands at minus 30 percent among Americans. The war in Vietnam took six

years to become as reviled as the Iran war has become in six months.

And as this deeply unpopular war becomes even more unpopular than when it started, Donald

Trump and his administration appear to be scrambling to hide the true costs from the American

people, concealing the number of service members who have been injured. On that,

the New York Times reports this, quote, in the week leading up to the Iranian attack Friday that

killed two U.S. soldiers, Iran carried out three other strikes against U.S. forces in the country.

Those attacks injured dozens of U.S. service members and damaged several helicopters. That is, according to

several U.S. officials who spoke anonymously to discuss operational matters. But the Pentagon

did not disclose those earlier strikes, nor the casualties, and damage they inflicted. In a

statement, a spokesperson for the Pentagon called the reporting, quote, outright lies.

But for anyone hoping that Donald Trump will somehow come to his senses and find a way to end America's involvement in this war,
