So, suicide is a big problem in America right now.

It's the numbers of skyrocketed, particularly for young people.

It's horrifying.

It's amazing.

It doesn't get more attention than it does.

The FCC just approved a three-number special number to, you know, like you have 9-1-1 for

emergencies.

Well, we now are going to have 9-8-8 for suicide prevention hotline.

It used to be, yeah, if you're feeling suicidal call 1-800-bub-bub-bub-bub-bub-bub

but nobody remembers those long numbers like you do 9-1-1.

So, 9-8-8 going forward, I don't know when it actually starts up, but that's a good idea

and that will be something that people can remember and often, you know, a quick phone call

with somebody can talk people down pretty quickly before they make a very permanent decision

to a likely temporary problem.

I think that's a good move by the FCC.

This time of the week, it is common for us to take a fond look back at what we call the week

that was with something cow-c dot o dot w dot it's clips of the week.
