Thanks for being here tonight as we enter a new, not just a new year.

This is what really, really has me, my head spinning. Not just a new year. We're talking about a new decade.

I know, I think on Monday and I said new millennia, but no, we're not there yet, thankfully.

But yeah, 2020. It just seems so futuristic, doesn't it? I mean, how many of us were on, you know, watching television in the 80s and 90s and watching shows like, you know, Space 1999? Or we watched Back to the Future. We watched these shows that talked about years to come, and we're now entering those years.

That's the hard part to believe.

Time just moves so quickly, and we talk about time.

We talk about time travel on this show a lot, but do we ever talk about why time seems to speed up as we get older?

I mean, I think it happens to everybody, right?

And it really does speed up. You remember being a kid and, you know, you'd be in school and like the week would go on forever and it would be forever until Christmas time and be forever

until summer vacation and then summer vacation came.

Of course, then that would go pretty quickly.

But it just seems like there's a whole different perspective.

And now we've got, you know, as we enter adulthood and, you know, I know my kids are grown.

And, you know, now it just a blink of an eye.

Everything just passes.

So I don't mean to depress everybody, but happy New Year.

And I hope you had a great time celebrating the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 as we enter a new decade as well.
