I'm Garrett Morrison and today we're previewing the

2024 U.S. Women's Open at Lancaster Country Club. the Gabby Herzig of the Athletic will be joining us to discuss the big storylines going

into the tournament as well as what to know about the venue.

It's actually a really cool golf course, William Flynn Design in Pennsylvania, lots to talk about there.

We'll also touch on the very recent news that Lexi Thompson will be retiring at

the end of this season or at least stepping back from a full-time schedule.

First, though, my co-host Joseph Lamagna is here with me to do our traditional in and out segment,

where we talk about what we're in on and what we're out on this week. Joseph, what are you in on?

Garrett, I am in on Hamilton Golf Club, the site of the RBC Canadian Open this week.

I know this is going to be predominantly a U.S. Women's Open focused podcast, but I'm really

excited to see a hairy colt design. It's got cool green complexes, a little bit of a different type

test from what we see on the PGA tour week in and week out. So again, we're going to be focused a lot on the US Women's

Open here and that's probably what a lot of people are going to be watching this

weekend but if you tune into some of the RBC Canadian Open it's going to be a

good style of architecture it's going to be wet so that might not be ideal but I'm

excited to see this golf course. We saw it last in 2019 but it's it's a unique

design and something that I feel like will be a little bit different than what we see week in and week out on the PGA tour.

Like a shorter course, a little bit more positional, but a great piece of land, a lot of elevation change, pretty excited to see it.

Anything else we should keep an eye on, like particular holes, particular design features,

what's cool about it?
